People wonder why the crime rate across the country is out of control?? Gee, we wonder why... Why are criminals so brazen in Salisbury to commit armed robberies of banks and other places? Why are citizens afraid to walk down the streets?
Lets see....
1) Police can not use force many times, even when appropriate to do so.
2) Civil liability
3) News coverage
4) Bad view of police by the community stemming from Rodney King incident
5) Politicians don't support the police
6) Video games depicting shooting and killing people and cops
7) Proliferation of gangster rappers as "cool" rapping about guns, drugs, murder, and murder of cops
8) Decaying moral fabric of Society
9) Lack of funding
10) Lack of aggressive policing due to above reasons
So here's our answer to all of these problems. Different departments and politicians can make threats and promises to combat crime.. but we have the answer to all of the issues. You want safety and security? We've got you covered...Of course, we may have to alter our consitution a little bit....
- Take handcuffs off the police. Give the police tools and weapons needed to combat crime. Issue all officers tasers, shotguns, and rifles. Use force to combat crime because force is being used to combat society by criminals. Criminals don't care about your safety, why should you care about their safety from cops trying to protect your safety?
- Suspend civil liability for police
- Support the police even if a police action even if it doesn't look the best for you as a politician
- Restrict video game sales of violent crime to adults only. Ban all video games depicting assaults on police. The problem was that twenty years ago or so our society had better morals so we had games like Duck Hunt and not games like vice city.
- Lack of funding. So, you are cutting funding to public safety, which causes public safety to cut back on training, personnel, and weapons, and you are wondering why crime is getting worse? Hey, while we are at it, lets lay off some crossing guards.
