If considering legal action against any department bear in mind a class action law suit, with several staff members, is more effective than a solitary person filing suit for several reasons. First it lends more credibility that there is a problem (whatever that problem is), second legal fees are lessened because of the more people involved, third (if kept to several persons) they payout may be greater, fourth departments are more willing to settle to avoid bad publicity of a suit from it's own personnel indicating a serious problem to the media.
