Online Library Coming to the Crapper...

That's right! Now you can combine two of your favorite activities... reading cop crap and sitting on the crapper.

We are in the process of adding an online library to the crapper. The library will contain PDF's and other files on everything from LEOBOR to cop health, workouts, tactical approach to situations, medical emergency information, and more. All accessible free through the WicBury Crapper!

Talking points for tonight, how can a LEO get some help from a headshrinker without putting job in jepordy before anything happens?

Why is it hard to find fellow LEO's to trust?

Why do so many f@*k with, stab in the back, label and stand by while so many go down to admin BS?

Most shrinks can not talk about what you talk about with them to anyone else, including in court. Many agencies have EAP or Employee Assistance Programs designed to address concerns prior to them becoming serious problems. Again, they can not talk about why you are there, UNLESS they deem you to be an urgent threat to your own life or safety in which case they are required to report it.

It's hard to find other officers to trust because, for some reason, people love talking about each other. It's just the way it is. When you find an officer that you can talk to and know it's not going to get broadcast all over the department, that's a person you can trust. But, indicators like sucking up, etc. are a good indication that that person is not trustworthy because they have already sullied themselves morally in engaging in that type of activity.

Officers do not want to get involved. It's kind of like a large group of people watching someone getting beaten up but no one helps because the responsibility from psychological perspective is that there is a shared responsibility and therefore everyone doesn't step up to address the issues until it lands on their face at which time they look to others and wonder where they are to back them up.

First step is to abide by the lose lips sink ships outlook. Don't talk about each other behind each others backs. Esentially shut the hell up and stop, STOP talking about each other to administration or bitching to someone else who is going to run to administration.
