Is this news worthy? Is it a slow news day in Wicomico County or what? Today the Daily Times reported that two members of the city council filed two complaints against the current city police Chief Allen Webster. Although the city mayor Ireton would not confirm or deny the validity of these reports he did remark that the complaints were a personnel issue and therefore would be handled internally as an employee matter. The report also stated that there was no "six page" report that was filed but rather two separate complaints from city council people. What kind of news is this? Who cares if city council personnel or anyone for that matter files a complaint on an employee of the city. Unless the complaint is substantiated by the employees manager and corrective action is taken, i.e. the mayor, it's a moot complaint. It seems clear however that Ireton, from his previous comments, is reluctant to become involved in a battle between these city council people and Chief Webster and the Daily Times. Although, other than reporting slow news on an otherwise slower news day, we are unsure how the daily times is thrown into what appear es to be a political and internal issue.

Sadly these ladies have absolutely no respect for Chief Webster or for that matter the SPD. They listen to much to Joe Albero whom in my opinion would spit on both of them.
