How to solve crime problems, Prologue

Prologue

First this is not a definitive answer on how to solve all crime. Crime is in fact a function of society and moreover some feel a required part of society since it is a industry of billions. Think about it. Crime funds and gives jobs to police, corrections, parole, construction personnel, maintenance personnel, probation officers, car manufactures and employees, gas personnel, vehicle repair personnel, etc. So, this is not the end all and be all of crime prevention in Salisbury and the surrounding areas. However, implementing these policies would solve a large amount of crime in the city...It's interesting how some on crime councils or citizen review boards have no idea what police work is or how to go about solving crime problems yet suck up tax dollars sitting around, looking stern, and pontificating on crime. We are not referring to the Salisbury crime board, or whatever it is called, we are talking about crime boards in general as they litter our society. Currently the city is plagued with every known crime from murder to robbery (armed and strongarm), burglary and all other types of crimes. Some argue that crime is a result of the downfall of our economy and/or social values. In reality, people have been evaluating crime for hundreds, even thousands of years. Plato even wrote about crime and punishment. We however are going to break it down and propose solutions for short term and long term crime prevention and resolvability. Stay tuned for Chapter One tomorrow!
